Stardraw Control Wins Second InAVate Award
Stardraw
Control, the multi-award winning control application from design and control software systems developer, Stardraw.com has been voted the winner of yet another prestigious award. Honored for the second time at the Technology InAVation awards where Stardraw Control won last year in the Commercial category, this year it has been bestowed the title of Most Innovative Control Product for Residential Use. This is now the fourth major accolade for Stardraw Control.
Stardraw's marketing director, Rob Robinson, is delighted that Stardraw Control has emerged as the winning control product for the second time at the second EMEA InAVation Awards which were held at the recent ISE show in Amsterdam. "Stardraw Control has already been recognized at several prestigious industry awards, but this is the first time it has won an award in the residential category," noted Robinson. "Although we have evolved from the commercial sector, we have been present in the residential market for some time. Winning a prestigious award like this as a result of a public vote against very strong competition from the likes of Control4, Crestron, Extron, Niko and Philips is further validation that Stardraw Control is equally applicable - and appreciated - in this important market sector. It's extremely gratifying!"
One of the reasons that Stardraw Control has proved so popular with residential systems integrators is that it is so easy to deploy. Its powerful properties-based forms designer lets you create and program sophisticated user interfaces without having to write a single line of code. Furthermore, the use of .NET technologies means that the control programs are generated as standalone .exe files that can run on any .NET-supported platform e.g. any device running Windows 2000 and above. This means installers can employ emerging low-cost UI devices like UMPCs, and therefore tailor the hardware to clients' needs, often making use of existing hardware in the home. Another important point is that Stardraw Control can tie together all sorts of disparate systems because it is based on open architecture that supports any protocol. In a residential system, this can include control via TCP IP, serial, EIB, and furthermore, Stardraw Control can fully support any device that has its own web browser-based control UI. The result of this extraordinary flexibility is that a Stardraw Control solution can be implemented at a fraction of the cost of traditional control systems.
