Usability Enhancements in Design/Documentation Tools
This month several new features have been introduced to Stardraw Audio, A/V, A/V Lite and Lighting 2D
in response to users' suggestions. These include UI
enhancements, improved pan/zoom functions, improved Convert To...
tools, and the new Reverse function which makes it easy to correct
system interconnections.
Users with a current subscription can install this important new feature by performing a LiveUpdate now.
Case Study - Residential Control System
Femi Adegoke of Awedio, based in the beautiful Southern
Californian city of Thousand Oaks, was one of the very first systems
integrators to devise and implement a residential system entirely
controlled by Stardraw Control. Adegoke, who specializes in high-end
custom installations for the residential market, was an early
adopter of the new technology and had successfully deployed a system
within weeks of Stardraw Control's launch.
Stardraw Control - New Features and Drivers
Important new features added to Stardraw Control this month
include the following:
The Scheduler component allows you to define a series of
events to occur over a period of time, for example, power up a system
but wait 5 seconds before sending it any commands or, in a Show Control
scenario, run automated sequences such as a repetitive change of lighting cues, or
play audio/video content in sequence. This component
is very, very flexible and you can have any number of schedules
running over many, many hours firing any number of events. On
each event you can, of course, perform any number of actions.
The Calendar component allows you to create date/time
events, either as one-offs or with recurrence, such as:
- August 21st at 9am
- Every Monday at 9am
- Every Weekday at 12pm
- On the 1st of every month
- On the Last Sunday of every month
- On the First Weekday of every month
This component also allows you to specify over what period these events should continue to fire -
either forever or a number of times or until an absolute date/time in the
future.
The number of drivers for serial and TCP/IP controlled devices
continues to grow, offering full bi-directional control and
monitoring functions. Recently added device drivers include
the following:
