Feature per Month program

This month's new feature is Enhanced Library Structure: this enhancement to the Library List structures symbols libraries so that two new root folders are available. The first, Local Libraries, contains symbols held on your local machine or network, while the new Online Libraries root gives direct access to Stardraw's web server that contains all current and complete libraries.

Symbol Standard Round Table

David Snipp, CEO of Stardraw.com, will be on the panel of a round table discussion investigating possibilities for the establishment of a standard symbolic notation for the professional lighting industry. The panel discussion has been initiated and will be chaired by PLASA, the Professional Lighting and Sound Association.

Other confirmed panel members include David Ripley of CAD4Theatre, Ron Bonner of PLASA, Tim Brown of Apple Sound and James Eade of Lighting and Sound International (chairman). The discussion is intended as an open forum and anyone interested in the topic is invited to attend and contribute. Results of the discussion are intended to guide the PLASA Standards Committee on how best to meet the needs of the industry.

The discussion takes place at 2pm on Tuesday, September 9th at the PLASA show, meeting room 2. For more details contact PLASA at 01323 410335 or email ron@plasa.org. We hope to see you there!

Shure Signs up to Stardraw Weblink

Shure Incorporated, arguably one of the best known brands in the pro-audio world, has enrolled in Stardraw Weblink, the new service that allows linkage of Stardraw product symbols to any online data. They join other industry leaders including Audio-Technica U.S., BSS and TOA as early adopters of this unique program that helps manufacturers exploit the power of the internet to better serve their customers.

How Stardraw Weblink Works

Symbols of products are distributed with Stardraw applications to a global userbase. Stardraw Weblink lets a manufacturer embed links to ANY information available via the internet. Web pages, PDFs, databases, technical data, sales and marketing information can all be accessed thanks to this service, and once a link is in place, it is instantly available to all Stardraw users everywhere.  With Stardraw Weblink you are only one click away from comprehensive product information.  For more information email Randy Green (randy@stardraw.com) or visit www.stardraw.com/weblink
