Feature per Month program
This month's new feature is Cable Scheduling, a set of drawing and
reporting tools that allow you to create flexible cable schedules in a
fraction of the time of conventional methods.
Cable scheduling works by adding attributes to the lines used to
show connections in the Block Schematic and Pictorial Schematic environments:
 The DogLeg tool has been updated to support cable scheduling. In normal use it
produces a "dogleg" connection with one vertical and two horizontal lines.
 A new Cable tool has been added. It produces a "polyline" which can have as many
sections as you require - ideal for more complicated routing.

If you display the properties of a Dogleg or Cable (doubleclick on it, or select it
and press Alt + Enter, or rightclick and select Properties), you will see a
new dialog. Here you can enter all the information needed to produce a Cable Schedule,
like origin, destination, routing, labeling etc. All of this information is stored
within the Dogleg or Cable object so you can copy a connection and just edit any
fields that change for an even faster way to define cable attributes.

To produce a cable schedule from your completed design select Tools | Reports |
Cable Schedule. Wait a second or two for MS Excel to start up and the cable
schedule will be generated before your eyes. You can use this schedule as it stands, or
edit it for your own purposes, or, for example, send its output to a
label printing program.

Important Note: the Feature per Month program is
available only to current subscribers of Stardraw Audio and Stardraw
AV. If the machine you're currently working with has its
Stardraw dongle in place, you can check your subscription status by
clicking here.

Preview of Stardraw Lighting 2D
This
year's LDI (Orlando, USA, November 2-4) will see
previews of the new Stardraw package for lighting
designers.
Stardraw Lighting 2D is an all new application which uses
the very latest in software technology to deliver a faster, easier
