Feature per Month program
This month's new feature is Paste Repeat , an advanced paste
function that allows you to create rectangular arrays in a single action.
 In
any environment simply select one or more objects and select copy (Ctrl+C).
In the example here the single XLR has been selected and copied.

 When you select paste (Ctrl+V) you will see the new Paste Repeat
dialog. It has three areas:
- "Initial Position" which is the origin point of the
copied objects. You normally leave these values unchanged.
- "Offset" which allows you to set the distance in the
x and y axes to the 2nd column, 2nd row of the array. (You
normally use the spin controls to set these values - see
"Tip" below)
- "Number of Copies" which is the number of times the
selection will be pasted in the x and y axes. Note that
this is the number of copies so if, as here, you want
your final array to be 20 wide x 3 deep, you should enter 19 in
x and 2 in y.

 When you click on OK in the Paste Repeat dialog the
array will be created.
Tip: when you copy an object it is placed on the Windows
clipboard. Stardraw gets the width and height of the clipboard
contents and uses them as the default values for the x and y
offsets. If you click on the spin controls in the
"Offset" area (the up and down arrows) the offset value will
change by the width or height of the selection. In this example
you would click once on the up arrow by the y offset.

Important Note: the Feature per Month program is
available only to current subscribers of Stardraw Audio and Stardraw
AV. If the machine you're currently working with has its
Stardraw dongle in place, you can check your subscription status by

year's PLASA show (Earl's Court, London, September 9-12) will see
the launch of the new Stardraw package for lighting
designers.
